(WNY News Now) – An 88-year-old man was successfully rescued by Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Bentley after being reported missing for hours following a tractor accident along East Side Hill Rd.
Ripley – On September 1, 2023, at approximately 8:51 pm, authorities were dispatched to 9811 E. Side Hill Rd. in response to the missing elderly male report. K-9 Bentley combed through the wooded area, covering a mile’s distance, to find the man who had crashed his tractor into a ravine around 11:00 am.
Deputies safely reached the victim and, with the assistance of Ripley Fire Dept. and County EMS, transported him to Hamot Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
