Jamestown Resident Arrested for Drug Possession


(WNY News Now) – A 38-year-old resident of Jamestown was arrested after a traffic stop on Winsor St. near Crossman St. led charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree.

Jamestown – On September 7, 2023, at around 12:20 am, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Violent Crime Unit and K-9 Unit conducted a routine traffic stop on Winsor St. near Crossman St. Upon investigation officers discovered that Robert A. Hallett, 38, of Jamestown was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and was operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.

Hallett was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He was released with an appearance ticket. The charges brought against him include Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree.
