Two Arrested in Jamestown Traffic Stop for Drug Charges


(WNY News Now) – A routine traffic stop in the Spring St area of Jamestown on September 5th led to the arrest of two individuals on drug-related charges.

Jamestown – On September 5th, at approximately 7:26 pm, officers from the Jamestown Police Department Violent Crime Unit and DWI Unit conducted a traffic stop due to observed traffic infractions. The driver, Jeffrey L. Shriver, 43, was found to be driving impaired by drugs and subsequently charged with Driving While Ability Impaired.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Danielle R. Barber, 28, was in possession of a quantity of fentanyl. Furthermore, upon a search at the Jamestown City Jail, officers found Danielle attempting to conceal methamphetamine and additional fentanyl. As a result, Danielle faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th (2 counts) and Tampering with Physical Evidence.


Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and later released with appearance tickets for Jamestown City Court.
