(WNY News Now) – In the early hours of Tuesday, September 12th, 2023, officers rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital following a stabbing incident involving a 38-year-old male victim who sustained injuries to his midsection and hand.

Upon reaching the scene, law enforcement discovered the victim’s condition to be stable, with his survival expected. An ensuing investigation unveiled that the altercation leading to the stabbing occurred in the 900 block of Pond Street, where 34-year-old Cedric Singleton allegedly assaulted the victim. Singleton was subsequently apprehended and charged with Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
