
BUFFALO, NY (WNY News Now) – A Hamburg man pleaded guilty Friday afternoon in Erie County Court to one count of Murder in the Second Degree.
In the early hours of February 9th of this year, 36-year-old Salvatore Rizzo intentionally shot 40-year-old Slavisa Stojanovic with an illegal gun inside of a business on Botsford Place in Buffalo. Rizzo was taken into custody shortly after from his residence where police discovered a loaded, illegal gun inside of his car.
The victim was transported to ECMC with injuries to his head and neck, but later succumbed to his injuries.
Rizzo is now facing the maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison when he is sentenced on October 30th. He continues to be held without bail.
