Bench Warrant Leads to Arrest

(WNY News Now) – A Niagara Falls man was taken into custody on a bench warrant issued by Allegany Town Court after a suspicious vehicle incident on Rte-219 N, Ashford, NY.

Niagara Falls – On the afternoon of September 14, 2023, at approximately 3:58 PM, Paul D. Williams, a 51-year-old resident of Niagara Falls, NY, found himself in police custody due to a bench warrant issued by Allegany Town Court. The arrest stemmed from an investigation initiated after law enforcement responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at the Ashford Office complex, located on Rte-219 N in Ashford, NY.

Upon examination, it was allegedly discovered that Mr. Williams was in the passenger seat of the vehicle. He was promptly taken into custody and later transported to Allegany Town Court for arraignment. Following the proceedings, he was released on his own recognizance.
