WNY News Now – A woman is now facing a mandatory life prison term without parole after being found guilty of first-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence.

75-year-old Nancy Focht shot her husband, David Focht, Sr. in a shed outside their Bedford home following an argument back in September of 2018. Focht then called 9-1-1 and told the operator that her husband had been the one that fired the shot, which was later proven to be false.

Focht repeated this false narrative to the Pennsylvania State Police on the day of the shooting, and only confessed months later while speaking to investigators.
