(WNY News Now) – New York State Troopers apprehended an Elma man on September 24, 2023, on charges of allegedly Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) during a traffic stop on State Route 400 in Elma.
Elma -On the evening of September 24, 2023, New York State Troopers, stationed out of SP Boston, arrested Justin P. Converse, a 30-year-old resident of Elma, NY, for suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).
The arrest took place following a routine traffic stop on State Route 400 in Elma, during which Converse allegedly displayed noticeable signs of impairment. After further investigation, Troopers concluded that Converse had been operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. His impairment was further confirmed when he failed standardized field sobriety tests administered at the scene.
Converse was subsequently taken into custody and transported to SP Elma, where a chemical breath test indicated a blood alcohol content (BAC) level of 0.16%. He was later released with appearance tickets, scheduling his court appearance in the town of Elma at a later date.
