“Local Educator Glenn Wahl to Uncover Chautauqua Lake’s Geological Mysteries”

(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, N.Y. – Join geology instructor and environmentalist Glenn Wahl as he delves into the ancient history of Chautauqua Lake, revealing the fascinating geological journey behind its landscapes.

Local residents and nature enthusiasts are in for an enlightening experience as Glenn Wahl, a Jamestown Community College geology instructor, takes center stage at the Audubon Community Nature Center’s First Friday Lunch Bunch on October 6 from 11 a.m. to noon. The event promises a captivating exploration of “The Geology of Chautauqua Lake.”

Wahl’s extensive background in geology and environmental biology equips him with a unique perspective on the region’s geological evolution, spanning hundreds of millions of years. From the remnants of ancient oceans to the sculpting force of mile-thick glaciers, Wahl will unveil the remarkable forces that have shaped Chautauqua Lake’s current landscape.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a bagged lunch and engage in post-presentation discussions with Wahl and fellow participants. The event carries a modest fee of $8, with a discounted rate of $6 available for Nature Center members and children aged 9 to 15.
