(WNY News Now) – On the evening of September 27th, 2023, a dispute in the 200 block of Orlando Avenue escalated into violence, resulting in a 62-year-old male victim being stabbed and a 40-year-old woman, Cassie Conolly, arrested on multiple charges.
Syracuse – Around 6:45 P.M. on Wednesday, officers responded to a call reporting a stabbing at a residence on Orlando Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered a 62-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to the midsection. Swift action by first responders led to the victim being transported to Upstate Hospital, where he is expected to recover.
Police investigations unveiled that the incident stemmed from an alleged dispute between the victim and Cassie Conolly prior to the officers’ arrival. During the altercation, Conolly allegedly not only inflicted the stab wound but also caused damage to the victim’s vehicle.
Conolly, 40, was subsequently apprehended and now faces charges of Assault in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree.
The authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the altercation, and further details may emerge as the case unfolds.
