(WNY News Now) – On October 4, 2023, at approximately 10:10 PM, law enforcement officers responded to 101 E. State St. in Olean, N.Y., where they took an Olean man into custody on a direct deposit warrant issued by the Cattaraugus County court for a probation violation.
Olean – Victor V. Smith, 36 years old and a resident of 641 Delaware Ave, Olean, N.Y. 14760, was arrested on the evening of October 4, 2023, following his apprehension by Olean Police Department officers. The arrest was made pursuant to a direct deposit warrant issued by the Cattaraugus County court, citing a violation of probation.
After being taken into custody, Mr. Smith was processed by law enforcement authorities and subsequently transported to Cattaraugus County Jail, where he will be detained pending further legal proceedings.
