
(WNY News Now) – A domestic dispute escalated into a violent altercation early on 10/14/2023, leading to the arrest of 23-year-old Xavier L. Williams. Williams faces multiple charges, including attempted assault on police officers and burglary, following a confrontation with the Jamestown Police Department.
Jamestown – At approximately 12:40 am on 10/14/2023, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Third Platoon responded to a call concerning a domestic dispute on the city’s south side. Prior to their arrival, it was reported that Xavier L. Williams, 23, had forcefully entered a nearby residence.
Upon arrival, officers attempted to apprehend Williams, who allegedly resisted and attempted to assault a police officer. Another officer sustained a minor injury during the struggle. It was revealed that prior to the break-in, Williams had allegedly assaulted a female victim and attempted to strike occupants inside the residence.
Xavier L. Williams is currently held at the Jamestown City Jail, awaiting arraignment on multiple charges, including attempted assault on a police officer, burglary, criminal obstruction of breathing, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, and harassment.
