(WNY News Now) – A federal grand jury has returned an indictment against two Jamestown, NY, residents charging them with narcotics conspiracy, drug-involved premises, and possession with intent to distribute heroin and fentanyl. Ledesma faces additional charges of causing serious bodily injury through controlled substance distribution.

Buffalo – U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced today that David Sekerak Ledesma and Susan M. Walker, residents of Jamestown, NY, have been indicted by a federal grand jury. The indictment alleges their involvement in a narcotics conspiracy, maintaining a drug-involved premises, and possession with intent to distribute heroin and fentanyl. Ledesma is further charged with distributing controlled substances resulting in serious bodily injury and distributing heroin, fentanyl, and para-fluorofentanyl.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti, who handled the case, stated that the indictment outlines their activities between May 2020 and May 2023, during which they conspired to sell heroin and fentanyl in the Jamestown, NY, area. The duo is also accused of using and operating a residence on Lafayette Street in Jamestown for the production, distribution, and use of heroin. Additionally, Ledesma is alleged to have sold controlled substances to an individual, identified as A.R., resulting in serious bodily injury.


Both Ledesma and Walker were arraigned before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael J. Roemer. Ledesma was detained, while Walker was released under specific conditions.

This indictment comes as part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation, which aims to identify, disrupt, and dismantle high-level criminal organizations posing a threat to the United States. The investigation leading to this indictment was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Frank Tarentino, III, New York Field Division, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, under the direction of John B. DeVito, Special Agent-in-Charge, New York Field Division, the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, led by Jamestown Police Chief Timothy Jackson, and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, under the direction of Sheriff James Quattrone.
