(WNY News Now) – An Olean, New York, resident has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including tampering with evidence, criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree.
Olean – Logan Shearer, a 28-year-old Olean resident, appeared in court and entered a plea of not guilty to a series of charges including tampering with evidence, criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree.
The incident in question reportedly occurred on or about March 12, 2023, within the city of Olean. Shearer stands accused of tampering with evidence related to an official proceeding or a prospective official proceeding. The charges allege that he attempted to suppress this evidence through acts of concealment, alteration, or destruction. Additionally, it is alleged that Shearer may have employed force, intimidation, or deception against an individual in his attempt to prevent the production or use of said evidence.
The case has been adjourned for motions.
