(WNY News Now) – A 32-year-old resident of Jamestown, NY, was apprehended by officers of the Jamestown Police Department’s Violent Crime Unit at 342 Forest Ave on the night of November 6, 2023.
Jamestown – On the evening of November 6, 2023, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Violent Crime Unit arrested 32-year-old Jacquelyn C. Hayes at 342 Forest Ave. The arrest was made based on prior knowledge of bench warrants issued against Hayes by the Jamestown City Court.
The incident unfolded at approximately 9:47 pm when officers observed Hayes at the specified location. Acting on the existing warrants, officers took Hayes into custody without incident. Subsequent searches alleged that she was in possession of a small quantity of cocaine.
Hayes now faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, in addition to the bench warrants from the Jamestown City Court. As of now, she is being held at the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment with the Jamestown City Court.
