JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – The Jamestown City Hall will be illuminated with scarlet lights on Wednesday, November 15th, to honor a little angel of the same name.
Scarlett (Letti) Bush took the community by storm, with over 4,000 supporters following her journey on her Facebook page ‘Love 4 Letti’. Scarlett was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition at just four days old and unfortunately passed away on November 15th of last year.
But even though she was so tiny, she made such a big impact on the lives of many. The ‘Love 4 Letti’ page has brought significant awareness to Scarlett’s condition, known as polymicrogyria, which causes the brain to develop too many small folds and can result in debilitating effects like seizures, developmental delays, muscle weakness, and paralysis, among others.
Scarlett’s mom, Erica Webster, would like to give credit to Oishei Children’s Hospital and the staff at the N.I.C.U for all of their help, “especially Chelsea and Michelle”.
“The nurses, therapists, specialists, the medical supply companies, and especially everybody who loves Letti and all her amazing family on Love 4 Letti. Those people don’t even know how much they’re helping me get through this,” Webster said.
If you want to show support to Scarlett’s family, make sure to join the ‘Love 4 Letti’ page, where they continue to post updates.
