Jamestown Woman Faces Multiple Charges After Alleged Larceny

(WNY News Now) – A 38-year-old resident of Jamestown, is facing charges of Petit Larceny, Harassment (2 counts), and Burglary 3rd following incidents at a local Family Dollar and a downtown address.

Jamestown – On November 29, 2023, at 3:19 PM, Jamestown Police Department officers responded to a larceny complaint at the Family Dollar located at 41 S. Main St. The investigation revealed that Jennifer M. Allen allegedly entered the store, violating a prior trespass warning, and stole candy and decorative flowers, resulting in a Burglary 3rd charge.

Earlier in the day, prior to the larceny complaint, Allen reportedly assaulted an individual in the face at a downtown address. Following the larceny incident, Allen was arrested in the parking lot and transported to the City Jail.

While in custody, Allen’s behavior escalated, and she allegedly became disorderly, spitting in a police officer’s eye. Consequently, Allen faces charges of Burglary 3rd, Petit Larceny, and two counts of Harassment 2nd. As of now, she is held pending arraignment in the Jamestown City Jail.

The court proceedings for these charges are scheduled to take place at Jamestown City Court.
