(WNY News Now) – A 35-year-old Jamestown resident, has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Aggravated DWI, and Passing a Steady Red Signal after a late-night traffic stop on W 6th St.

Jamestown, N.Y. – In the early hours of December 2, 2023, at 12:42 AM, Jamestown Police Department members halted a vehicle on W 6th St for disregarding a red traffic signal. Following an investigation, officers found that the driver, identified as Bruce A. Crawford Jr from Jamestown, was allegedly operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Subsequently, Crawford was taken into custody and processed at the Jamestown City Jail. He was later released with traffic tickets for multiple charges, including Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. Additionally, he faces a charge for passing a steady red signal.

The incident will be addressed in Jamestown City Court, with Crawford currently holding an appearance ticket.
