Jamestown Resident Pleads Guilty to First-Degree Burglary

(WNY News Now) – A 48-year-old Jamestown man admitted guilt on November 27th for First-Degree Burglary, a Class B violent felony, stemming from a December 26, 2022, home invasion in Jamestown.

Jamestown, N.Y. – William Buckley, 48, targeted an elderly resident, posing as a home improvement worker before breaking in. Armed with what seemed to be a firearm, he restrained and assaulted the victim, making off with stolen property.

Indicted in January on multiple charges, the Burglary charge was the most severe. The District Attorney acknowledged the Jamestown Police Department for their dedicated efforts in solving the case.

Buckley’s sentencing is slated for February 5, 2024.
