(WNY News Now) – In a late-night incident on December 6, 2023, Jamestown police arrested two Jamestown men on charges of Criminal Trespass in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.

Jamestown, NY – At around 8:10 pm on December 6, officers from the Jamestown Police Department, responding to a call near Prendergast Ave. and E. 8th St., noticed lights inside a condemned apartment. After completing their initial call, the officers revisited the location to find the lights turned off. Upon investigating, Morgan E. Ryder and Joshua T. Dorsey were discovered inside the condemned apartment.

In the process of the arrest, a search allegedly revealed a quantity of fentanyl on Ryder’s person. Both individuals were taken into custody without resistance and subsequently transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where they are being held pending arraignment, partly due to prior failure to appear in court.

Ryder faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Criminal Trespass in the 3rd Degree, while Dorsey is charged with Criminal Trespass in the 3rd Degree.

The court proceedings are set to take place at the Jamestown City Court.
