(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, N.Y. – Are there special people on your holiday shopping list for whom not just any gift will do?

With free admission to the nature center and discounts on programs and shopping at the Blue Heron Gift Shop, a membership in Audubon Community Nature Center will give them a year of fun and a lifetime of memories.

Each gift package comes with a unique holiday notecard, personalized membership card, decal, bookmark, newsletter and welcome letter, all packaged up and wrapped in a bow. Audubon can send the package to the recipient or to the giver for presenting.

To order a gift membership, call (716) 569-2345 or visit AudubonCNC.org/Memberships.

Audubon also has the perfect stocking stuffer: eclipse glasses for the April 8, 2024, total solar eclipse.

The Blue Heron Gift Shop is stocked for the holidays with gifts that include Audubon’s own Nature Discovery Kits, new puppets and plush animals, a wide variety of children’s books, nature and guide books, locally-made honey, beeswax candles, and soaps.

In addition, the Blue Heron Gift Shop December Sale features some items at 30% off, like local honey products, upcycled mittens, and a variety of books.

Audubon Community Nature Center is located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown, N.Y., and Warren, Pa. You can visit the nearly 600-acre nature preserve, check in on the live birds of prey, enjoy the natural play space, and hike over five miles of trails dawn until dusk daily for free.

As well as the Blue Heron Gift Shop, the three-story Nature Center building houses interactive displays and a collection of live animals, including the Hellbender exhibit. Visitors are welcome Mondays through Saturdays, 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m., and Sundays, 1–4:30 p.m. Nature Center members and SNAP/EBT cardholders have free building admission daily. Building admission is also free every Sunday for non-Nature Center members.
