(WNY News Now) – Jamestown witnessed fluctuations in crime rates during the week of November 26 to December 2, 2023, with an overall increase of 3.3% in total incidents compared to the preceding week.
Jamestown, N.Y. – Jamestown, NY, experienced a dynamic week in terms of law enforcement activity, as indicated by the weekly crime statistics from November 26 to December 2, 2023. The top three calls for service included Domestic Dispute (38 incidents), Check Well Being (37 incidents), and Suspicious Situation (23 incidents). Notably, the total number of 684 incidents saw a marginal uptick of 3.3% from the previous seven days.

The most prevalent incident categories included Domestic Dispute (38 incidents), Well-Being Check (37 incidents), and Suspicious Situation (23 incidents). Larceny cases accounted for 12 incidents, Harassment (12 incidents), Suspicious Person (11 incidents), and Motor Vehicle Accidents (16 incidents) were also noteworthy components of the reported incidents.
Jamestown had a total of 11 drug-related cases and 5 overdose cases reported during the week. A detailed breakdown of law enforcement activities reveals that 53 individuals were booked on charges, encompassing a range of offenses.
