(WNY News Now) – Mayville, N.Y. – A 35-year-old man from Jamestown, received a 2-year state prison sentence from Judge David Foley for assaulting a Jamestown Police officer during an August 2022 arrest.

Travis Colley, 35, was handed a 2-year state prison term by Judge David Foley for assaulting a Jamestown Police officer during an arrest in August 2022. Striking the officer in the face led to a 2nd-degree Assault conviction. The District Attorney underscored the gravity, asserting, “Violence against a police officer is an attack on our entire community. First responders risk their lives daily for us. Injuring an officer demands full accountability under the law.”
