(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – An alleged domestic dispute on the North Side of Jamestown escalated into a series of charges for a 35-year-old resident culminating in his arrest on December 24, 2023 at approximately 3:51 pm.

Bruce J. Miles, 35, faces charges of Harassment 2nd degree, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Mischief 4th degree, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. The incident unfolded when officers responded to a 3:51 PM call about a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, they found Bruce Miles and a female victim outside the residence. The victim reported being physically assaulted, stating that Miles allegedly grabbed her by the back of her head and threw her down the stairs.

As officers attempted to arrest Miles, he resisted, leading to a brief struggle. During the arrest, Miles allegedly caused damage to a patrol vehicle. Subsequent searches at the city jail revealed 1.1 grams of Methamphetamine on his person. Miles was held pending arraignment and faces a combination of charges related to the altercation and drug possession.
