(WNY News Now) – Cattaraugus County – Steve E. McCord, the Director of Cattaraugus County Veterans Services, is expanding accessibility for veterans and their families by offering itinerant sessions across the county to address VA benefit laws, the VA Healthcare System, and general concerns.

In an effort to better serve veterans and their families, Steve E. McCord, the Director of Cattaraugus County Veterans Services, will be holding itinerant sessions at various locations throughout the county. These sessions will provide an opportunity for veterans to discuss VA benefit laws, the VA Healthcare System, and address any questions or concerns they may have.

The following is the itinerant schedule for the month of February:

  • Gowanda American Legion Post: February 7, 2024, 1:30 – 4:00 pm
  • Little Valley VFW Post: February 1 and 15, 2024, 1:30 – 4:00 pm
  • Randolph American Legion Post: February 14, 2024, 10:00 am – Noon
  • Franklinville Town Clerk’s Office: February 20, 2024, 1:30 – 3:00 pm

McCord will also be available at the Cattaraugus County Veterans Services office in Olean, Monday through Friday, with office hours from 8:00 am to noon, 1-4 pm, or 4-5 pm, by prior appointment. It’s important to note that appointments are required and can be scheduled by calling (716) 701-3298.

McCord emphasizes that if no appointments are scheduled for any of the itinerant locations, he will remain at the county building in Olean during those times.
