(WNY News Now) – A 45-year-old man is facing charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation following a traffic stop on E. 2nd St and Phillips St.

On January 17, 2024, at 2:17 a.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Violent Crime Unit conducted a traffic stop on Derek T. Roberts for observed traffic infractions. Investigation revealed Roberts was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state. Further findings indicated his New York State license was suspended due to a prior DWI. Roberts was taken into custody without incident and charged with DWI, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st Degree, and issued traffic citations. He is held in Jamestown City Jail awaiting arraignment at Jamestown City Court.
