(WNY News Now) – A 23-year-old Dunkirk resident was arrested for Assault in the Second Degree following an incident at UPMC Chautauqua on January 19, 2024.

On January 20, 2024, at 10 pm, officers responded to a reported assault at UPMC Chautauqua involving Armando Z. Hernandez-Tirado. The victim, a hospital employee, reported being struck and bitten by Hernandez-Tirado the previous night. Hernandez-Tirado was located and taken into custody without incident. Currently held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court, he faces a charge of Assault in the Second Degree. The investigation into the assault continues.
