(WNY News Now) – Niagara Falls – Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman confirmed today that a 38-year-old Niagara Falls man has been sentenced to 17 years in state prison for pleading guilty to Manslaughter in the First Degree.
Michael Hamilton, age 38, pled guilty in November of last year to Manslaughter in the First Degree for the death of Jason Chapman on Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls on July 12, 2022. County Court Judge John Ottaviano handed down the sentence.
The case was investigated by the Niagara Falls Police Department and prosecuted by First Assistant District Attorney Doreen Hoffmann and Grand Jury Bureau Chief Maria Stoelting.
