(WNY News Now) – A 57 year old Jamestown man was arrested on 01/23/2024 at 7:18 p.m. on W 6th St for charges related to driving while intoxicated. The incident unfolded when Jamestown Police officers, conducting a GIVE hotspot detail, observed his vehicle running a red light.

Jamestown, NY – Jeffrey L Aldrich, a 57-year-old male, was arrested on 01/23/2024 at 1918 hours on W 6th St for charges related to driving while intoxicated. The incident unfolded when Jamestown Police officers, conducting a GIVE hotspot detail, observed Aldrich’s vehicle running a red light.

Upon conducting a traffic stop, officers identified Aldrich as the operator and, after a standard field sobriety test, took him into custody. Subsequent chemical testing revealed Aldrich’s blood alcohol content exceeded 0.08%. Aldrich was taken to Jamestown City Court, where he was released on an appearance ticket. Aldrich is scheduled to appear in court for further proceedings.
