(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – In the early hours of January 26, 2024, a 25-year-old male, faced multiple charges after a routine traffic stop at the intersection of W. 5th St and Jefferson St. Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Violent Crime and K-9 Units discovered a revoked driver’s license, leading to a vehicle search. 

On January 26, 2024, at 12:00 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Dale R. Linkous Jr at W. 5th St and Jefferson St for alleged traffic infractions. The investigation revealed Linkous was driving with a revoked New York State driver’s license. During a search prompted by observed drug paraphernalia, officers discovered a cache of illegal substances, including fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, along with scales, packaging material, cutting agents, and a billy club in the vehicle. Linkous, taken into custody without incident, attempted to dispose of drugs during transport to the Jamestown City Jail. Charges include Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (3rd and 7th degree), Criminal Possession of a Weapon (3rd degree), Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia (2nd degree), and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Linkous was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
