(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – On 1/30/24, officers from the Jamestown Police Dept. and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office arrested two Jamestown men during a routine traffic stop on Foote Ave and Cole Ave.

During a GIVE Patrol Detail at 4:29 pm, officers observed a vehicle with an expired temporary inspection sticker. The driver, Allen L. Cass, was allegedly found in possession of drug paraphernalia upon exiting the vehicle. Simultaneously, the front passenger, Erik V. Morrison, admitted to having drug paraphernalia. A subsequent search of Morrison revealed methamphetamine in his possession. Further inspection of the vehicle uncovered additional drug paraphernalia, quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine prepared for sale, and a controlled substance pill.

Both Cass and Morrison were charged with multiple counts, including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd. Cass also received a ticket for an Uninspected Motor Vehicle. Morrison, on NYS Parole, was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail after a Parole warrant was issued. The third individual in the vehicle was released from the scene. The case awaits arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
