(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – Audubon Community Nature Center Summer Day Camp is a great opportunity for a child in your life to strengthen their foundation in the natural world, broaden their knowledge, and grow through play and exploration.

During eight weeks of Day Camp, children ages 4-14 play, explore, learn, build, grow and experiment in fields, forests, ponds and marshes.

While some sessions are already full, you can find a brochure with details of all the camps at AudubonCNC.org/DayCamp, where you can also register.

Applications for day camp scholarships can be made at AudubonCNC.org/scholarships through May 1. For answers to questions, contact Education Coordinator Sarah Hatfield at (716) 569-2345 or SHatfield@AudubonCNC.org.

Internships are a great way for older students ages 15-24 to gain experience in a camp setting and discover their passion for environmental conservation and education. Paid and unpaid internships are available, depending on age and experience.

Interns can learn skills such as lesson planning, group management, developmentally appropriate activities for different ages and how to use the natural world as a classroom.

Unpaid internship applications for students 15-18 are available through arrangements with their high schools and guidance counselor if schools support the program. Other volunteer and service positions are available for students 13-18 through the Counselor -in-Training/Junior Counselor (CIT/JC) section of the Day Camp page, AudubonCNC.org/DayCamp.

Paid internship information is at AudubonCNC.org/Jobs, and applications are accepted through March 10, 2024.

Application information for summer invasive species management assistants is also at AudubonCNC.org/Jobs. These applications are accepted through March 15, 2024.
