(WNY News Now) – In an effort to help our furry friends find their fur-ever home, WNY News Now has partnered with the Chautauqua County Humane Society in a segment we like to call Pet of The Week. This week’s pet of the week is Sugarplum.

“Hi Lee. Brian here with you at the Chautauqua County Humane Society. We are in the senior room, and I don’t know if she’s quite a senior, but this is Sugarplum. She’s 5 years old. She’s currently up for adoption here at CCHS. She has been spayed and she’s up to date on her vaccinations. She has a microchip, all sorts of great stuff. Little bit of flea treatment, and she is looking for a home.”

“She’s a little bit camera-shy, but she is a loving gal and she is looking for a lap to call home. Also have to have a home around it, but she would love to meet you. The Humane Society is open from 1 to 5:30 today, 11 to 3 tomorrow. You can find out more information at So come on down and meet this gal. Take her home today, as she would love to go home with you. And if she’s not your fit, there are lots of other animals to meet too. So again, stop down at the Humane Society, 2825 Stunk Road in Jamestown, we are open from 1 to 5:30 today, 11 to 3 tomorrow, and you can meet Sugarplum.”
