(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – On Feb. 11, 2024 officers responded to a downtown address for a reported domestic dispute, resulting in the arrest of a 58-year-old Celoron resident on charges of 1st Degree Burglary, 3rd Degree Assault, and 7th Degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Jamestown Police Department’s third platoon intervened in the altercation between Robert M. Porter Jr. and a female victim, discovering that Porter had allegedly forcibly entered the victim’s apartment, assaulting her and causing injuries. Porter was taken into custody without resistance, revealing possession of Suboxone upon reaching the city jail.

Robert M. Porter Jr. is now held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court. The charges encompass 1st Degree Burglary, 3rd Degree Assault, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.
