(WNY News Now) – A Warren resident was apprehended on Feb. 20, 2024 at 10:52 pm after a routine traffic stop in the vicinity of Barrett Ave and Prather Ave by the Jamestown Police Department Violence Interdiction Unit.
On the evening of 2/20/24, Jamestown Police Department’s Violence Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop on Barrett Ave and Prather Ave, citing observed traffic violations. The vehicle’s operator, identified as Richard A. Eck Jr., was subjected to a search with his consent. The search led to the discovery of a quantity of methamphetamine and 2 Buprenorphine and Naloxone Sublingual Films.
Eck was taken into custody without resistance and subsequently charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th. He is currently held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
