(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – In a disturbing incident on February 21, 2024, at 7:53 am, multiple individuals from Jamestown were apprehended by Jamestown Police for their involvement in a violent robbery, assault, and unlawful imprisonment.

Officers from the 1st platoon responded to a well-being check at a residence on 326 Stowe St after reports of a male victim being robbed, assaulted, and held against his will. Upon arrival, the victim emerged from the residence with two others, showing signs of assault, prompting immediate medical attention.

Benjamin J Preston, identified as one of the alleged assailants, was swiftly taken into custody without incident. Further investigation revealed additional suspects inside the residence. Despite repeated requests, the occupants failed to comply, leading to the involvement of the Jamestown SWAT Team, who executed a search warrant.

Dwayne A Lowery, Anthony J Wallace, Scott A Eddy, Ramsey J Huddleston, and Jhaszmine M Mitchell were apprehended inside, along with another female victim. Lowery and Preston were found to have assaulted the male victim, allegedly forcibly taking his phone and wallet, and restraining him within the residence. Lowery allegedly also obstructed a female victim from leaving.

During the operation, Wallace was discovered in possession of the male victim’s credit card and 4.2 grams of Methamphetamine. Mitchell was found with 1.3 grams of Fentanyl and 1 gram of Cocaine, along with outstanding warrants from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department. Eddy and Huddleston faced charges of Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd.

Wallace faced charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th. Preston faced charges of Robbery 2nd, Assault 3rd, and Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd. Lowery faced charges of Robbery 2nd, Assault 3rd, and two counts of Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd.

Huddleston received an appearance ticket, Mitchell was released with an appearance ticket and handed over to CCSO, and all other suspects were held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
