(WNY News Now) – A 38-year-old resident of Lakewood was detained by Jamestown Police after a traffic stop on E Hamilton St., facing charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.

On February 23, 2024, at 9:51 PM, Jamestown Police Officers halted a vehicle at the junction of E Hamilton St. and Monroe St., driven by Brook A. Patterson. Initial investigations revealed Patterson was operating an uninsured, unregistered vehicle with altered license plates. Subsequent inquiries uncovered illicit substances in his possession, including crack cocaine and suboxone strips without a valid prescription. Patterson, additionally wanted on an existing warrant by the Jamestown Police Department, was arrested and charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. He is currently detained, awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
