(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – In a routine traffic stop on Newton Ave and Kipp St at 10:10 pm on Feb. 26, 2024, Jamestown Police apprehended two Jamestown, NY, women on charges of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.

On the evening of Feb. 26, 2024, the Jamestown Police Department’s Violence Interdiction Unit executed a traffic stop for alleged observed infractions on Newton Ave and Kipp St. The vehicle’s occupants, identified as May Stilson and Shamori L. Houston, raised suspicions as officers noticed drug paraphernalia in plain sight.

A subsequent vehicle search led to the discovery of a quantity of fentanyl. Further investigation revealed a forged North Carolina license plate on the vehicle. Both Stilson and Houston were taken into custody without resistance and were held in Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

The charges brought against them include Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.
