(WNY News Now) – A 44-year-old Westfield, NY, man was apprehended by Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies after an early morning accident on Plank Rd. Investigation reveals Cettell was intoxicated while operating the vehicle.
In the early hours of March 4, 2024, at approximately 3:59 AM, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an accident on Plank Rd. in the Town of Westfield. At the scene, they found Samuel J. Cettell, 44, of Westfield, NY. Following an inquiry, it was alleged that Cettell was driving under the influence.
Cettell was taken into custody and now faces charges including DWI Per Se, misdemeanor DWI, and failure to keep right. The Town of Westfield, presiding, released him with traffic tickets.
Cettell is expected to appear in Westfield Town Court to address these charges at a later date.
