(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – In a late-night incident on March 8, 2024, a 27-year-old  Jamestown woman was apprehended by Jamestown Police for DWI, Aggravated DWI Leandra’s Law (Felony), and endangering the welfare of a child.

At approximately 12:35 AM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department 3rd Platoon observed a vehicle driven by Erika C. Marshall-Lopez, allegedly fail to signal away from the curb and navigate into the oncoming lane. Promptly initiating a traffic stop, officers discovered a 2-year-old child in the vehicle during the subsequent investigation.

Erika C. Marshall-Lopez, a Jamestown resident, was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail. She now faces charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated Leandra’s Law (a felony due to the child’s presence), Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Improper/No Signal, and Failure to Keep Right.

Erika C. Marshall-Lopez is currently being held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court.
