Jamestown, NY – A 20-year-old male from Jamestown, faces two counts of criminal contempt in the 1st degree following a routine traffic stop on the south side of Jamestown.
On the evening of April 5th, 2024, Jamestown Police officers from the 2nd platoon halted a vehicle for a traffic violation at approximately 5:41 PM. Further investigation alleged that the driver, Lukeus C. Swartz, was in violation of an order of protection involving two individuals who were passengers in the vehicle.
Swartz was promptly arrested and taken into custody, subsequently transported to Jamestown City Jail. Due to previous convictions, he is charged with two counts of criminal contempt in the 1st degree. Swartz remains held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court.
