(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – Jamestown authorities, aided by multiple agencies, apprehended a 39-year-old Jamestown man during a narcotics investigation at 25 Hazzard Street Apartment 3.
On April 10th, 2024, at approximately 1:00 pm, the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, supported by the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at 25 Hazzard Street Apartment 3. Inside the residence, Luis M. Torres Cortes, 39, along with two children, was encountered by the SWAT Team. Following the securing of the premises, a thorough search allegedly revealed 15.9 grams of fentanyl, $255.00 in US Currency, scales, cutting agents, and packaging materials indicative of narcotics distribution.
Subsequently, Luis M. Torres Cortes was placed under arrest and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Charges against him include two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, three counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree, and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Assisting the Jamestown Police Department were the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Chautauqua County Emergency Services Tac Meds, and Jamestown Fire Department.
