A narcotics investigation on April 19th, 2024, resulted in the arrest of Salvatore Russo, a 56-year-old Jamestown resident, on charges including criminal possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.

On the morning of April 19th, 2024, at approximately 5:48 am, members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, supported by the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at 388 S. Main Street’s lower apartment. During the operation, Salvatore Russo, aged 56, was found inside the residence along with two children.

Following the securing of the premises, detectives conducted a thorough search and discovered a quantity of crack cocaine, digital scales, and measuring cups commonly associated with the preparation of narcotics. Subsequently, Salvatore Russo was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Russo faces charges that include Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree, and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He is currently held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court.
