The City of Olean Fire Department promptly responded to a structure fire early on April 24th. Upon arrival at 623 Seneca Ave at 2:36 AM, firefighters encountered heavy flames at the building’s rear. With efficient coordination, they evacuated occupants and contained the fire’s spread. The swift action prevented extensive damage, with the fire under control by 2:57 AM.

While one civilian received evaluation at Olean General Hospital, there were no injuries among the firefighters. Collaborating agencies included the Olean Police Department, Portville Fire Department, and Trans Am Ambulance. Love Thy Neighbor aided displaced residents. The incident’s cause remains under investigation.
