(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – A routine traffic stop on the Westside of Jamestown yesterday afternoon resulted in the arrest of a 41,-year-old man on charges of Criminal Contempt 2nd, after officers discovered he was allegedly in violation of a stay-away order of protection.
On April 24, 2024, at approximately 1:36 PM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 1st Platoon initiated a traffic stop in the Westside area of the city. During the stop, they identified Carlton M. Allen, a 41-year-old male, as a passenger in the vehicle. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Allen was in the company of a female individual who allegedly held a valid stay-away order of protection against him.
According to authorities, Allen was promptly taken into custody and subsequently charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd, in violation of the protective order. He was then transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he remains held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
