(WNY News Now) – Warren, Pa. – With nearly a thousand folks of all ages enjoying it last year, the Children’s Interactive Festival returns to downtown Warren Saturday, May 4, 11 a.m.–3 p.m., with the theme “May the 4th Be With You!”

Ruby Wiles, founder and director of Free Books for Kids Town, the festival’s presenter, announced an addition to the already full event: “We are thrilled to have a booth representing the Warren County School District’s PAWSitive Support program! Knowing the powerful impact these wonderful dogs have on children’s learning, it is so great that they will be with us.” Wiles welcomes this opportunity for children to learn how to interact and feel comfortable with these specially trained dogs that are now present in all Warren County schools.

Among the festival’s more than 20 other hands-on and entertaining activities are painting Star Wars masks made by Toy Shoppe volunteers, a trash trivia challenge, a science experiment, new items in the World War II display, tool building, stories and more.

You are invited to come in costume for the parade and costume contest on Second Avenue between Liberty Street and the Fountain.

The fun food available includes Light Sabers, pizza, meatball subs, Oreo Space Dunk cookies, and Star Wars fruit gummies.

In celebration of May 4 as National Free Comic Book Day, Kids Town Books in Warren Antiques, 306 2nd Avenue, is giving out 1,000 free comic books from 11 a.m.–3 p.m., first come, first served.

The Festival is presented by Free Books for Kids Town. For more information contact Ruby Wiles at KidsBooks4Free@gmail.com
