(WNY News Now) – Celoron, NY – Law enforcement officers from the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, aided by the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at a residence on 19 E Duquesne Street, Celoron, resulting in the arrest of a local man and the seizure of significant quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl.

At 9:20 am on May 3rd, 2024, the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, supported by the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team, conducted a search warrant operation at 19 E Duquesne Street in Celoron, New York. During the operation, Darin L. Butts Jr., a 30-year-old resident of Celoron, along with one juvenile, was found inside the residence.

Upon securing the premises, law enforcement officers allegedly discovered and seized 217.8 grams of methamphetamine, 47.4 grams of fentanyl, $90.00 in US Currency, drug paraphernalia including scales and packaging materials. Darin L. Butts Jr. was promptly arrested and taken into custody by the authorities, subsequently transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Darin L. Butts Jr. faces charges including one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, and two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree. Pending arraignment in Mayville, he remains in custody. Notably, Darin was on Federal Probation for prior drug trafficking offenses at the time of his arrest.

Assisting agencies during the operation included the Town of Ellicott Police Department and the Jamestown Fire Department.   1. There was no fire department there .I live on the street and seen what happened.all I can say is he’s a nice guy and yeah he made bad choices but people don’t need to think of him as he’s the one selling to addicts.they chose to use the shit not him telling them to you.
