(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – Officers aided New York State Parole in executing a warrant check on a parolee, resulting in the arrest of a 27-year-old resident of Jamestown, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree and an outstanding felony warrant.

On May 8, 2024, at approximately 8:27 pm, law enforcement officers from the 2nd platoon and K9 Unit collaborated with New York State Parole to conduct a warrant check on a parolee in the North Side area. During the investigation, officers discovered that Andre S. McQuiggan, a 27-year-old resident of Jamestown, was allegedly in possession of metal knuckles, a violation of his parole conditions as a convicted felon.

Without resistance, McQuiggan was apprehended and taken into custody. Additionally, it was revealed that McQuiggan had an outstanding felony arrest warrant issued by the City of Jamestown Court. Subsequently, he was transported to the city jail, where he remains held pending arraignment on charges of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree and the existing arrest warrant.
