(WNY News Now) – Chautauqua County, N.Y. – Commissioners Luz E. Torres and Brian C. Abram from the County Board of Elections are urgently notifying voters about a significant printing blunder affecting 5,000 out of 77,779 annual yellow mail check cards.

Cards that are affected have a correct front side (with the name and address of the voter) and have inaccurate information on the backside of the card (where the poll site and political party address is located).

“Unfortunately we need to inform the voters that a printing error has been identified and certain cards were mailed with incorrect information,” states Commissioner Torres.

The vendor is currently creating new cards for the affected voters. Voters should expect new cards to arrive in their mailbox as soon as Wednesday, May 15th. New cards will have a bolded statement, “REVISED” on their corrected card.

“We are working closely with the vendor to make sure new corrected cards are mailed to the affected voters as soon as possible,” added Commissioner Abram.
