(WNY News Now) – Belmont, N.Y. – Allegany County is calling for proposals to conduct a comprehensive sewer study aimed at evaluating and improving the county’s municipal sewer system.

The study will assess the current state of the municipal sewer system, identify areas lacking such systems, and recommend enhancements to boost capacity where needed most. This initiative is expected to guide future infrastructure projects and support economic development goals. Qualified service providers are invited to submit their proposals.

The chosen contractor will be responsible for delivering a detailed county-wide sewer study, culminating in a final report with strategic recommendations for expanding and optimizing municipal sewer operations in Allegany County. The study is projected to be completed within a year, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.

The study aims to yield significant benefits, including enhanced infrastructure to spur economic development in the county.

Proposal Submission Instructions and Due Date

Proposals must be submitted by email to Carissa M. Knapp at carissa.knapp@alleganyco.gov and Jodi Adams at jodi.adams@alleganyco.gov. Additionally, two hard copies should be delivered in a sealed envelope to County Administrator Carissa M. Knapp, 7 Court Street, Room 213, Belmont, NY 14813, by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024.
